i simply adore fireworks. they make my heart smile. something about them brings out a beautiful, majestic creativity that leaves me in awe.

A friend of mine asked me the other night if I was truly happy… and I was excited that I could say with confidence that there is no other place I would rather be… no other thing I would rather be doing right now, because I know the Lord has His Hand in directing me to exactly where I should be… and that is where I am.  I love life… and I love life because it is not easy.  I love where I am at because it is not necessarily where I would have chosen to be. I love the people that I am surrounded by because they lead me so often to the Cross and to the face of my Abba Father… they speak to me with genuine hearts, laughter, and logic… people in my life that choose to take me in with the good and the bad. I love my independence… and am learning to not always keep that to myself… to relish it, appreciate it, and not hold onto it selfishly.  I even love that I have to work hard for things in life… frustrating as it may be, I am learning to appreciate and value things all the more – for nothing in life is easy.

“Not that I have already attained or am already perfected;
but I press on…”
[Philippians 3:12]
